Nicole Kidman Opens Up About Her Scientologist Kids In Rare Interview!
In a brand new interview, the actress opened up about her kids with former husband and famous Scientologist Tom Cruise also being part of the controversial religious cult! Here’s what she had to say!
As fans may remember, while they were still a couple, Kidman and Cruise adopted a daughter and a son named Isabella and Connor who are now 25 and 23 respectively!
When the actor pair decided to file for divorce after 11 years of marriage back in 2001, the children chose to live with their dad!
That being said, it’s been more than a decade since they were seen in public with their mother but insist they love her and that they have a great family relationship.
In an interview for Australia's WHO magazine, Nicole stated that ‘I'm very private about all that. I have to protect all of those relationships. I know 150 percent I would give up my life for my kids because it is what my purpose is.’
As for the fact that Connor and Isabella are also part of Scientology, the star told the news outlet that ‘They are adults. They're able to make their own decisions. They've made choices to be Scientologists, and as a mother, it is my job to love them.’
The actress who plays the mom of a kid sent to gay conversion therapy in Boy Erased also discussed tolerance during the interview.
‘I am an example of that tolerance, and that's what I believe—that no matter what your child does, the child has love and has to know that there's available love and I am open here. I think that is so important because if that's taken away from a child, in any relationship, in any family—I believe it is wrong. So that is our job as a parent, to always offer them unconditional love.’
