Nicki Minaj decided to speak out after her hubby, Kenneth Petty received a lot of backlash following an incident at the Trinidad Carnival. He’s been spotted pushing a singer at the carnival who seemed to get too close to Nicki.
Earlier, Nicki showed off her carnival costume at the Trinidad festival, and her fans made sure to praise her curved body like there’s no tomorrow.
Anyway, in the video that you will see below, Kenneth is spotted pushing Trinidadian singer Iwer George at Trinidad carnival.
Someone commented: ‘I don’t think he accustomed to this kind of music plus the heat and he’s overprotective of his wife.’
A follower said: ‘So why the guy had to push Iwer off like that if he doesn’t like it get off the truck.’
One follower says that the gesture was really disrespectful: ‘Iwer was performing at the time..that was disrespectful ..I wonder if he would have treated King Jay-z or Kanye West so?.. He would never dare I am sure.’
Nicki responded to the backlash and said that Kenneth doesn’t ‘understand anything’ about her culture.
She also made sure to apologize on his behalf.
‘Oh gawd. Allyuh like sh*t eh? I go cuz all yuh real fkn stink yuh know?’wrote Nicki. ‘He don’t understand anything about our culture. I apologize on his behalf. He’s always in security mode. All love. Love my country to death. Love my ppl to death. Period.’
