After Liam Neeson admitted that he harbored racist thoughts against African-Americans due to a black man sexually assaulting a member of his family, Nick Cannon is responding! Not only that, but it turns out that he would love to fight the actor in a boxing match!

As you may know by now, during a controversial interview for The Independent, Liam Neeson admitted that after a loved one was raped, he actually considered carrying out a racist revenge against anyone who just happened to be black.

‘My immediate reaction was … What color were they? She said that it was a black person. I went up and down some areas with a [crowbar], hoping I would be approached by someone. I am ashamed to say that, and I did it for about a week — hoping some ‘black bastard’ would just come out of a pub and have a just go at me about something, you know? So I could kill him.’

Meanwhile, Nick Cannon is filling in for Wendy Williams on her talk show and so he got the opportunity to talk about the things that were said, on live TV!

After addressing the actor’s controversial interview, Nick proceeded to challenge Neeson to a boxing match.

Of course, the fight would be all for a good cause since Cannon explained that all the proceeds would be donated to the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.)

Because of the huge backlash, Neeson’s comments became part of the talk show discussion, and so, Cannon addressed it by saying: ‘I understand his anger, but there's no reason to want to kill somebody based off the color of their skin. I think he just really thinks he is his character in ‘Taken’… He was oversharing… this is ignorance at the end of the day. I think he is aware of that and he felt like he had to clean it up….’

He then went on to challenge Neeson to a celeb boxing match.

While on Good Morning America, earlier today, the actor insisted that he is not racist and that the thoughts crossing his mind not only happened 40 years ago but he was deeply ‘shocked’ by that urge.
