According to a report from The Blast, the accuser of sexual misconduct against Nev Schulman went to the police and filed two police reports on the 25th of May. Ayissha Morgan said on the 5th of June, Tuesday, that she went to the police and gave them her statement and detailed accounts of the kind of abuse she endured.
Morgan went on to say that she hopes that everyone respects her privacy at this time. As it was previously reported, Morgan, who made an appearence on the MTV docu-series in 2015, Catfish, accused the 33-year-old host of misconduct in a YouTube video which she posted on the 12th of May.
According to Morgan, Nev repeatedly asked her about her sexuality and requested that they go on a date more than once. Schulman supposedly suggested for her to meet up with him in a hotel room for sex.
Morgan explained that she “fell into the worst possible depression” after the incidents on set. Her only way to find closure after all of this is to file a police report and deal with the issue once and for all.
And in a statement released on the 17th of May, MTV said they were working with a third-party production company to complete an investigation into the matter.
As a result of the allegations of misconduct, MTV had no choice but to halt production and deal with the charges. Nev is currently the host and the executive producer.
In response to the charges, Schulman denied all of them outright in a statement released to Us Weekly. He said on the 17th of May that the behavior she described is totally inconsistent with the way he typically conducts himself in the workplace.
Schulman explained, throughout his life, he has always remained transparent and dedicated to being truthful. But these claims from Morgan are demonstrably false and he will vehemently fight them.
