The residents of Hawkins will be returning for a third season and Netflix just released a teaser video that fans are freaking out over. The new installment started filming on April 20 and will be bringing some new characters along for the spooky ride.
The black and white video shows the familiar faces of the series all gathering for a table read. The person setting the nameplates puts down the names of some of the OG cast, like Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp, and newcomers, Maya Hawke and Jake Busey.
Both The Duffer brothers and executive producer Shawn Levy have talked about the direction that the show is headed.
If you’re a fan, you would have noticed the scary differences between season one and season two. Many viewers liked the darker storylines while some thought it was too much.
As far as the upcoming installment, Levy explained: “Season 3 has legitimately creepy moments and events, but it’s incredibly warm and character-based because at the end of the day, I think that’s what people love most about ‘Stranger Things.'”
This comes after negotiations took places where the original cast got huge pay raises which is understandable considering how big of a success the show has come.
Millie Bobbi Brown is rumored to be making over $3 million for the third season of the show. Whereas her castmates will be making around $250K per episode.
The creators of “ST,” Matt and Ross Duffer were recently accused of verbally abusing a woman on set.
They released a statement to apologize that said: “We’re deeply upset to learn someone felt uncomfortable on set. Due to the high-stress nature of production, tempers may occasionally get frayed, and for that, we apologize. However, we think it’s important not to mischaracterize our set, where we believe strongly in treating everyone fairly regardless of gender, orientation, race, religion, or anything else. We remain really committed to providing a safe and collaborative working environment for everyone on our productions.”
You can expect the new episodes to hit Netflix early 2019. Check out the cool video above!
