A movie on Netflix is stirring controversy after a conservative viewer for PJ Media watched the opening scene and believed she was viewing child pornography. Megan Fox (the writer, not the actress) contacted the F.B.I. who informed her to report the scene from the movie Desire to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). According to the latest updates, the NCMEC is investigating the claims and many in the United States agree that the movie is displaying child pornography.

Indiewire quoted Megan Fox as she explained why the scene she watched clearly depicted child porn.

"Netflix is in violation of distributing child pornography because the child in question is very clearly engaging in the sexual act of masturbation, and this exceeds the minimum requirement of merely being suggestive."

The offensive scene features two young girls who are sisters watching television. The show features a cowboy riding a horse. The older of the two girls pick up a pillow and pretends she is riding a horse. She then begins to experience her first orgasm while her younger sister, who looks remarkably like Brooke Shields from Pretty Baby , curiously watches.

Megan Fox isn't the only one who was outraged and contacted authorities regarding the scene. As of the time of this writing, the Argentinian movie Desire remains on Netflix and the controversy and outrage continue.

The site An Open Secret has drawn awareness to the controversy and has also questioned Netflix as to why the movie remains.

Fox warns viewers from watching the movie or sharing it online. Though the children are fully clothed it depicts a sexual situation that is deemed inappropriate for U.S. viewers. Though laws regarding sexuality vary across the globe, many people nationwide have taken to social media to express their concern regarding the movie.

Some have described the questionable scene as point-blank pedophilia.

Diego Kaplan directed the movie and many have compared the opening scene to that of the Victor Salva movie Clownhouse. Salva wrote and directed Clownhouse that showed young Nathan Forrest Winters backside and also depicted a masturbation scene. Victor Salva would go on to be convicted on four counts of sexual assault. He is a registered sex offender.

Kaplan offered a defense for the scenes and said that there was adult supervision on set at all times and the children didn't know anything other than they were riding horses.

After the backlash, Desire now has a 3,9 IMDB rating.

What do you think? Does Desire depict child pornography?
