NeNe Leakes is usually happy, and she jokes all the time but, more than once, she said that this is just a coping mechanism for her when she's going through something difficult . And what more difficult situation could she be facing these days than caring for her beloved husband who has been diagnosed with cancer.

There are more terrible situations in life; we know, but this must be really hard on the RHOA star these days and her followers, agree - especially the ones who know what it's like to be a caretaker.

NeNe's recent message on Instagram has fans worried about her.

'Gotta laugh to keep from crying' NeNe captioned a photo of herself in which she's laughing.

Her fans showed her nothing but support in the comments section.

Someone told her 'you May not read this. But, I understand how it feels to literally fear for your husband's life. It’s the most debilitating feeling in the world, yet you can not show it because you have to be strong for him. I would usually have my crying sessions in the shower so he wouldn’t hear me. Please know that I am praying for you, that God will continue to give you strength, but most of all that he comfort you in your time of need, that he will hear your cries and prayer and heal your hubby, and that he also protect your family and marriage!'

Another commenter said 'Love you nene. I have been there before And it’s better to cry now then have a breakdown. I know you're strong, but even angels have bad days. 💋💋'

Another one of her followers showed empathy towards NeNe and told her this: 'Know the feeling, but you see crying is good for the soul, every tear that falls, God gather them all, cause you are his child, he will wipe your eyes, through pain we gain. After that, you'll never be the same. cause lord we worship your holy name.Ms.B.'

We truly wish NeNe lots of strength to go on, and we also wish Gregg Leakes to get better and be a healthy man again.

I am a retired military and current postal worker. I am going through the same thing as you NeNe. My husband has both breast and severe throat cancer at the same time. They took his breast and his voice box. The only thing that is getting us through this is our faith in God. God has and is bringing us through this situation. I cry in private. I consider myself a very tough woman (grew up in the ghetto; survived 20 years military and currently have done 20 years postal service), but CANCER is no joke both for the person that has it and the caregiver. Both people are depressed, stressed, and sad. The caregiver has to be strong for the one suffering; they cannot show a weakness. You have to have strong faith in God to get through this.

Greg..I pray that GOD heals your body and gets rid of all of that NASTY CANCER. I know it's hard but keep your spirits high and live your life to the fullest. Do what you enjoy everyday. GOD WILL HEAL YOU. Nene...You are a strong woman. I admire your strength. God is right by your side. It's ok to lean on good friends and family sometimes, and have a good cry too. Your a good wife and mother. I will keep your FAMILY in my prayers. God bless you ALL.

NeNe, I have been a caregiver for my mother, sister and 2 brothers. It is hard and you must have an outlet of support. Be mindful that Greg feels bad physically and emotionally because he's dealing with a life or death situation and he realizes that he is not the man he wants to be to you. I am the only survivor in my immediate family of parents and 4 children. However, I have no regrets because I took excellent care of them knowing that it was not going to be a lifetime of tiredness, pain, anxiety or drain. I encourage you to seek support so that you can maintain your marriage, love and relationship with Greg. Be encouraged!
