After much speculation of whether she would return or not, Nene Leakes has officially signed on to season 12 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. The reality star let fans know in the most definite way.
Nene posted and deleted a photo of her official and unofficial signature on a piece of paper that is believed to be the contract for the new installment.
She captioned the image: ‘Season 12 signed! Nay Nay will see you in NYC Sunday. Lets Go!’
This is the ultimate answer to rumors that she was suspended or let go from the franchise.
Andy Cohen also appeared on E!’s Daily Pop to hint at Nene’s return which has been delayed for quite some time. The executive producer told hosts that she will be joining him at the Pride parade along with other women of the Housewives series.
This comes after Leakes confirmed in an interview that much of the talk surrounding her absence from filming is simply wrong.
‘I have never been suspended. And I am on season 12, thank you very much.’
She also shot down the rumors that she had landed her own spin-off. However, it sounds like she would be down for it.
‘No, that’s not true. If I’ve gotten a spinoff, they haven’t told me yet, and I need them to tell me. I haven’t filmed a thing. I read that, too. If I had a spin-off, I’d be happily telling you.’
Now that all of the contracts are allegedly settled, this means that Nene will have to film with her friends who have now been downgraded to her ‘co-workers.’
The RHOA OG suffered the ultimate betrayal when she found out that her former bestie Cynthia Bailey conspired with Kandi Burruss to pretend that they didn’t know Kenya Moore was going to show up at Cynthia’s Seagrams Escapes release party.
Regardless of her current or future standings with the ladies of the show, Nene has made it clear that she isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
