Nene Leakes Explains Why She Flipped Out On Kandi Burruss And Porsha Williams On Last Night’s ‘RHOA’
Nene Leakes exhibited her most shocking behavior of all time during last night’s episode of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’ The Queen of Atlanta visited Andy Cohen on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ where she explained why she reacted the way she did.
If you tuned into the Bravo top-rated series on Sunday, you would remember how the episode ended with Nene running after a cameraman and tearing off his shirt in an effort to thwart Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss out of her closet after she told them not to go in. The preview for next week finds Kandi and Porsha shaken up from the night in question.
After a fan called into ‘WWHL’ and asked Nene if she thinks she overreacted to which she responded: “No, I did not. How are you going to overreact in your own home? If I tell you to visit me and sit right here, you need to sit right here. You don’t have the right to go through my house to open up my doors, my closets, my pantries, none of that.”
The Bravolebrity went on to explain that past cast members (like Kenya Moore and Sheree Whitfield) had their homes disrespected on camera and she wasn’t going to be one of them
“When you come to my house, you’re not going to disrespect my home. They were not in the right. Because you can’t come in someone’s house—First of all, they weren’t even invited upstairs. They just came upstairs on their own.”
The flip out allegedly got her suspended from filming for a week.
To be fair, the incident occurred on a night that the 51-year-old was going through a tough time. Her husband, Gregg Leakes, had recently been admitted to the hospital for a blood clot after receiving surgery — it also doesn’t help that Nene had been drinking for hours earlier that day.
