There’s a new meaning for the popular acronym MAGA. While many supporters for President Trump use the abbreviation to mean Make America Great Again, there are some who are using the abbreviation for Make America Gay Again; and Vice President Mike Pence’s neighbor is one of them. Jason Auslander, a reporter for the Aspen Times, broke the story on Twitter and shared a photo featuring the Make America Gay Again banner. Auslander’s tweet has gone viral and people are sharing their view on both the neighbor’s right to display the banner and VP Mike Pence’s voting record that has historically been against LGBTQ rights. According to Auslander’s report, the Secret Service was called and upon arriving the neighbors offered them hot chili and corn muffins to help ward off the cold.
It wasn’t long before the conversation turned to religion and the Biblical view on homosexuality. The tweet garnered plenty of responses including photos, videos, and GIFs. One person shared a photo of a man dressed like Jesus standing in front of a banner that read, “Homosexuality is Sin! Return to Jesus!” He held a sign that said, “I’m okay with it.” You may see that photo below.
The debate and responses weren’t limited to those on the right or left. Some people weighed in who were both pro-LGBTQ and Trump supporters.

Vice President Pence has yet to comment on the banner and it’s unclear if he plans to do so. While many people have mixed views about President Trump, some are concerned that if he were impeached and replaced by Vice President Pence, things would become even more troublesome for the LGBTQ community than they currently are.
One comment on Twitter disagreed with the neighbors placing the banner in the first place as they felt it was leading to more division in the country. The tweet was shared by someone who goes by the name Conservative Gay Guy.
The overall response to the banner was definitely mixed and ran the gamut from those who supported the banner and those who opposed it.
Mike Pence's neighbors in Aspen hung a "Make America Gay Again" banner.
I may be gay, but I'm tired of this crap. My life doesn't revolve around my sexuality. I'm a person first. The so-called tolerant left just continues to cause more division in this country.

According to a report by the Aspen Times, the Secret Service and local police officers had no intention of removing the flag as the display is protected under the First Amendment as freedom of speech.
What do you think about the banner? Do you support it or do you think it caused greater division?
