'NCIS' Could Reportedly Lose Another Star After Pauley Perrette And Mark Harmon Drama
More casting changes might be in the works for NCIS . Fans are still dealing with Pauley Perrette’s exit last season and it now sounds like another NCIS star is heading for the door. A new plot development in Season 16 could spell the end for another member of Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) team as the drama heats up.
Gibbs and his team have never been afraid to bend the rules from time to time, but those tactics will get them in some hot water come mid-season.
After Gibbs breaks some rules to solve a case, the Secretary of Defense will launch a full investigation into his team, which could lead to at least one person losing their job. There is no telling who is on the chopping block, but the investigation could spell doom for an important character.
If another character is removed from the storyline, it will mark the second season in a row in which we have lost someone special. Last season, Pauley Perrette called it quits after being a part of the show for the first 15 seasons.
According to TV Insider , Perrette left the series because of a fight with Harmon on the set of NCIS . In 2016, Harmon allegedly brought his pet dog to work. The dog got into a scuffle with a crew member and caused significant injury. Perrette was not happy about the incident and reportedly confronted Harmon about it.
After the fight, Harmon and Perrette started appearing in fewer scenes with each other. Inside sources claimed that they even requested different shooting schedules so that they did not have to cross paths on set.
Pauley Perrette and Mark Harmon have remained mum about their feud, but that has not quelled the rumors. We can only hope that a similar situation is not unfolding this season, and that all of the members of Gibbs’ team return in full force next year.
New episodes of NCIS air Tuesday nights on CBS.
