Naturi Naughton and Rotimi, who co-star on Starz’ series, Power, along with rapper, 50 Cent, caught their fans’ attention online when the pair traded flirtatious words back and forth on social media. On one of the latter’s photos, Naughton kicked off the exchange with words of encouragement in the caption.
She wrote, “new week, new goals, new levels, new disciplines,” along with a series of over-the-top emojis, like the wagging tongue emoji, flames, water emojis, and googling eyes, leading some fans to believe that her message was padded with a bit of admiration.
Personally, it looked more like she was merely spreading positive vibes, but you can check out the post below to see for yourself:
While most people online assumed they were just being nice to each other, others believed they were hinting at a change in the storyline in the next episode of the series.
If she and Rotimi were to get together, it would just be another plus added to her long list of accomplishments recently. As it was previously reported, the model was signed to WME.
She first got her foot in the door of the industry as a member of the R & B group, 3LW, before she went to Broadway to show off her acting skills as Little Inez in Hairspray.
Naughton perfected her craft portraying the rapper, Lil’ Kim, in Fox Searchlight’s Notorious, the movie revolving around the great Notorious B.I.G., who passed away at 24-years-old in the 1990’s in a drive-by shooting.
Later, she continued to work, including in films and TV shows like Fame, Step Sisters, Lottery Ticket, The Playboy Club, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Client List, as well as the critically-acclaimed, Mad Men.
Additionally, Naughton received accolades from the NAACP, for her character in Power. She’ll also star in an upcoming period-drama alongside James Cromwell, Mykelti Williamson, and Bruce Dern. There’s no question that her career is continuing to grow, as she’s set to appear in the movie, Really Love, co-starring with Kofi Siriboe, Michael Ealy, and Uzo Abuba.
