National Unicorn Day may come around once a year but for two former child actors, it’s a daily celebration. Alex Polinsky (who starred in Charles in Charge) and Jason Marsden (whose credits as a child actor include Eerie, Indiana, Full House, and Boy Meets World) are self described Unicorn Gangstas and promote the positive concept by wearing unicorn onesies, designed by Polinsky, and spreading day-glo filled love, joy, and glitter wherever they go. Both actors have progressed into voice-over and have continually celebrated National Unicorn Day while bringing their fans along for the ride.
Polinsky and Marsden have been friends since childhood (along with Seth Green) and spent time with kids hanging out with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. Their childlike wonder and fascination with the world haven’t left and the pair tries to spread joy and their whimsical view of the world to their fans as well as those they feel need it most.
On National Unicorn Day, you’ll find Polinsky and Marsden across social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter sharing their version of sparkling, glittery joy.
Both actors social media pages are filled with positive messages, images, photos, and videos of their unicorn gangsta tribe that is growing by leaps and bounds.

Polinsky views himself as a modern-day Willy Wonka that hopes to expand creativity and conscious character creation by keeping the belief alive that you can be anything you want to be alive. Regardless of age, class, gender or your background, the unicorn gangsta lifestyle is open to both the young and old. According to Polinsky, it’s more than just cosplay, but bringing change to others by embodying the character you feel best enhances your personality.
For some it’s a unicorn, for others it could be a superhero such as Batman or Wonder Woman. Some say that wearing a unicorn onesie or dressing up like a unicorn helps inspire their confidence and surprisingly, they get more compliments than odd looks when out and about.
On National Unicorn Day, however, many join in and find that dressing up like a unicorn or wearing a unicorn onesie like Jason Marsden and Alex Polinsky is the perfect way to celebrate the lighthearted fun that surrounds the holiday.
What do you think? Are you going to dress up like a unicorn on National Unicorn Day?
