Monica Lewinsky is part of The Clinton Affair, a six-part series on A&E Network and she is getting more candid than ever about her infamous affair with Bill Clinton. The series is set to discuss the former President’s impeachment back in 1998 for perjury and obstruction of justice.

The sentence that he was acquitted for by the Senate the following year happened after he admitted he’d indeed cheated on First Lady Hillary Clinton.

Before finally telling the truth, however, the man had lied under oath, trying to cover up the sex scandal with the, at the time, 22 years old Monica Lewinsky.

Now, in the docu-series, the woman is opening up about their involvement, including one of the very first times she met Bill Clinton.

‘As I passed George Stephanopoulos’ office, I looked into the open doorway, and Bill just happened to be standing there. He motioned me in. I do not think my heart had ever beat as fast. Unbeknownst to me then, I was on the precipice of a rabbit hole,’ Lewinsky recalls.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, she explained why she decided to be part of the series, saying: ‘Because I could. Throughout history, women have always been traduced and silenced. Now, it is our time to tell our stories in our own words. I may not like everything that has been put in the series or has been left out, but I like that the perspective's being shaped by women.’

‘Yes, the process of filming's been exceedingly painful. But I hope that by participating and by telling the truth about that time in my life - a time in our country's history - I can help ensure that what happened to me would never happen to another young person in our country again.’

Lewinsky even made it very clear that she would love to apologize to Hillary in person one day.

‘My first public words after the scandal - uttered in an interview with Barbara Walters on March 3, 1999 - were an apology directly to Chelsea and Mrs. Clinton. And if I were to see Hillary in person today, I know I would summon up whatever force I need to acknowledge to her again - sincerely - how very sorry I am.’

Dear Monica...Why won't you talk about Andy Bleiler and the affair with him before your daddy ever gave big bucks to the DNC to secure your internship. Mr. Bleiler, your teacher, had a wife and small children. You used to visit them, bringing presents, a la "Fatal Attraction".. Did you think they would love you more than mommy? The Bleilers gave a sworn affidavit to Ken Starr for the Starr report, and you know this. YOu were no abused naif with Bill Clinton, and you know this also. I''ll happily take the bet that if you could do it all over again, you would.
