Miranda Lambert hasn’t said much about her 2015 split from Blake Shelton, instead letting her music do the talking. But in a recent interview, she slammed the “Hollywood” part of her relationship, alluding that it was ultimately what broke them up.
In a new interview with HITS Daily Double, Lambert recalled that when she was preparing to release her 2014 album, Platinum, she felt the need to all of a sudden be more visible to her fans.
“I needed to get to another level. I remember I told [my manager] that I needed to up my visibility on this record. I don’t know why I felt that way. Maybe it was the phase in my life where the tabloids came into play. The Hollywood part of my life, but really my husband’s life at that time.”
That phase in her life was being the wife of one of the biggest star’s in country thanks to Shelton’s turn as a judge on The Voice.

Lambert went on to explain that she is a private person and she hated that when they announced their split in 2015, their lives became major storylines with the tabloids, especially the rumors that she had been unfaithful
Instead of getting angry with the paparazzi and tabloids, Lambert poured her broken heart into the album, The Weight of These Wings, her most successful album to date.
While Lambert seemed to be shying away from the “Hollywood” part of her life after their split — although her recent romance with the married Evan Felker has made her tabloid fodder again — Shelton seemed to fully embrace it with his romance with one of the biggest stars in the music world – Gwen Stefani.
Gwen Stefani had also just left a high-profile relationship with Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. Stefani reportedly left after she caught him cheating on her with the nanny. She later revealed that she and Shelton bonded over their broken hearts and that they both had gone through something very similar.
Stefani and Rossdale share three sons together: Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
Although it is rumored that things are still tense between him and his ex-wife, Rossdale recently said that his 20-year relationship with Stefani were some of the best days of his life and that he’s glad they share 3 amazing kids together.
Apart from her blossoming romance with Shelton, the No Doubt alum just scored a major deal with Las Vegas. The pop star will start her residency at Planet Hollywood’s Zappo’s Theater in just a few weeks.
Since all of the break-ups it seems the “Hollywood” aspects have done great things for all of their careers. Despite all the drama in their personal lives, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have all released successful albums in the last year.
