Miranda Lambert is on fire. During the 2018 ACM Awards, the primary focus was on Miranda, who was in talks for receiving the award for Vocalist of The Year.
Her competitors in the category included the legendary Reba McEntire, Kelsea Ballerini, Carrie Underwood, and Maren Morris. However, for the ninth time in a row, Miranda beat out her rivals and took it home, making her the winner nine years consecutively.
During her acceptance speech, she explained that she “couldn’t believe it.” Miranda thanked all of her fans, friends, family, and country music, before finishing off her speech with a salutation to Jesus Christ.
Miranda has been all over the ACM Awards since her career began, as she also won Song Of The Year for “Tin Man.” Lambert is now the artist with the most victories ever, breaking her tie with the iconic Brooks and Dunn.
Sources close to Lambert explained, “she’s so excited to be breaking records at the ACM’s. It’s pretty crazy, to be in the same standing as giants like Brooks and Dunn.”
As you may know, Miranda first got her big break following the appearance on Nashville Star in the early 2000’s. A Sony executive caught wind of her performance and thought her talent was incredibly bankable.
Nashville Star, a production noticeably similar to American Idol, is now canceled, after having a run of 52 episodes.
Either way, it’s been another great year for Miranda, considering her domination at the ACM’s, in addition to the announcement of this year’s summer tour along with Little Big Town. It’s a part of their upcoming The Bandwagon Tour, which will see them travel all across the United States and Canada.
