Miley Cyrus Shows Off Brand New Tattoo At The VMAs And It’s Seemingly About Liam!
In the aftermath of her split from Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus got a new tattoo and it’s pretty heartbreaking. The star showed it off while in attendance at the MTV VMAs and while it was pretty subtle, fans did not miss it.
The theory is that the new ink is about her and Liam’s shocking separation after only 8 months of marriage.
Before that, as you may know, they were together on and off for about a decade!
The tattoo she had while performing at the event reads: ‘My head was feeling scared, but my heart was feeling free.’
The body art was revealed as she was singing Slide Away live for the first time, a song considered to be all about her and Liam’s breakup as well.
As for the beautiful writing on her bicep, it’s actually a line from Pixies’ song, The Thing.
An eyewitness shared with HollywoodLife that performing the song on stage left Miley ‘incredibly emotional.’
‘Move on we’re not 17 / I’m not who I used to be,’ she sings, making it pretty obvious that she is talking about their failed relationship since it started when she was still a teen.
In the meantime, it seems like she’s moved on with Kaitlynn Carter and she was at the Prudential Center for the 2019 MTV VMAs, supporting Miley as well, just like thousands of fans.
She was apparently seen backstage with Miley before she took the stage and was even seen helping her with her hair!
Since the two were caught together before the split from Liam was announced, many speculated she cheated but Miley took to her platform to slam those rumors.
‘I can admit to a lot of things, but I just refuse to admit my marriage ended because of me cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I have said it before and it remains true, I love Liam and I always will. BUT at this point, I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind. I’m the healthiest and happiest I’ve been in a long time,’ she wrote.
