Michelle Williams has been very transparent about her struggles with mental health which many people admire her for. After announcing that she and Chad Johnson have called off their engagement, the gospel singer had dropped out of a Broadway play.
The show rep for “Once On This Island” confirmed the news when he released a statement that read: “Effective immediately, Michelle T. Williams has been advised by her medical doctors to take a leave of absence from performing. As a result, the singer/actress will not continue in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of ‘Once On This Island.”
A source close to the former Destiny’s Child member told Radar Online that she’s not in a good place which has those closest to her worried.
This comes not long after her announcement that she would not be tying the knot with “Chad Loves Michelle” co-star after dropping a new single.
She uploaded a caption to her Instagram Story that read: “I still remain fearless. I guess I still remain single! Things didn’t work out. The healing that needs to take place is a must! I don’t wanna destroy another relationship. Blessings to him, his family and ministry. #FEARLESS.”
If the rumor is true that Michelle is in a dark place, it’s likely that she is seeking help like she did earlier this year.
While checking herself into a mental health facility for depression amongst other things, Williams explained in an Instagram post: “For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it’s time to seek help, support and guidance from those that care about your wellbeing. I recently listened to the same advice I gave to thousands around the world and sought help from a great team of healthcare professionals.”
Hopefully, Michelle is getting the help she needs once again.
