Michelle Obama Talks About Her Miscarriage And IVF
Most of her fans know that Michelle Obama has a book called 'Becoming Michelle Obama' and it will hit the stores this Tuesday. During her visit to Good Morning America, Michelle opened up about various important subjects.
Michelle discussed the important topic of miscarriages.
She said that after her miscarriage 'I felt like I failed because I didn't know how common miscarriages were because we don't talk about them.'
She continued and explained, 'We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we're broken. It’s important to talk to young mothers about the fact that miscarriages happen.'
She also shared that she underwent in-vitro fertilization (#IVF) soon after realizing that the 'biological clock is real.'
It was also recently reported that Michelle opened up on the fabulous marriage that she has with her husband, Barack Obama.
Last month, she was on the Today Show to help celebrate the International Day of the Girl,
When she was asked if she’d ever try her chances with her husband’s former position, Michelle made it very clear that the answer is ‘Absolutely not.’
‘As a woman, you usually understand where exactly your voice works best. Where you want to operate and what space you want to be in. I’ve never wanted to be a politician, you know, and it is one of those things that… nothing’s changed in me to make me want to run for elected office,’ she explained.
She also said that one of the keys to having a successful marriage is having separate bathrooms.
