Michelle Obama Receives A Gift From Bruno Mars
Michelle Obama received a cute gift from the artist, Bruno Mars, this past Friday at their concert at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. as part of their world tour titled 24K Magic. The acclaimed singer met the former FLOTUS in person and gave her a custom version of the jersey which said, "Obama 24K."
On his Instagram, Bruno wrote, "last night in D.C., Mrs. Obama came to the concert and blessed us with her presence #24kmagicworldtour#Hooligans," along with the pair pictured together.
He posted another photo with Obama, himself, and the rest of his band, The Hooligans, with the caption, "#Squad" underneath.
According to E! Online, Michelle is a huge fan of Bruno Mars. During 2015's White House Easter Egg Roll - to celebrate the fifth birthday of the "Let's Move!" campaign - Obama danced to the internationally acclaimed song, "Uptown Funk!" along with stars from So You Think You Can Dance.
On another occasion, during the Ellen DeGeneres Show, she took part in a dance-off with the host Ellen DeGeneres where she busted a move to the popular hit.
Bruno performed the song on the South Lawn of the White House on the Fourth Of July of 2016 and got to meet Barack and his wife, Michelle.
Mars does more than fraternize with public figures; this year, Bruno donated $1 million from his show in Auburn Hills, Michigan, to help victims of the Flint Michigan water crisis. Later in the year, he participated in Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's campaign to help the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico as well as the survivors of Mexico's massive earthquake which left over one hundred dead.
