Michael Bublé's Wife, Luisana Lopilato, Responds To Critics Who Slammed The Singer For This Reason
Grammy winner Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, recently appeared in an Instagram livestream where they talked to fans amid the COVID-19 lockdown. But, their playful interaction with each other didn’t sit well with some fans because they viewed one of Bublé’s actions as abuse. Now, Lopilato has spoken out in support of her husband and she’s made it clear that she and Bublé are doing just fine.
In the video clip, Bublé and Lopilato - who is an Argentinian actress - are saying hello to some of their Spanish-speaking fans when Bublé elbows his wife and then pulls her closer to him while putting his arm around her.
Concerned fans saw the move as aggressive and immediately started to voice their outrage. Some even begged the actress to leave her husband.
To clear the air, Lopilato wrote on Instagram that her marriage to Bublé is stronger than ever and there is no need for fans to worry. She also stated that she is lucky because she doesn’t suffer from abuse.
“It is incredible how some human beings are!!” she wrote in Spanish on Instagram. “While we cross this pandemic, and we live moments of confinement, anguish, fear, loneliness, uncertainties of all kinds! Every day we go out with my husband to live to bring them a little joy, entertainment, and we have to bear to listen and see what malicious people publish who come out to talk about anything and without knowing anything about our family.”
The actress told her fans not to believe the negative stories about her marriage and added that she would choose the Feeling Good singer to be her husband “a thousand times more.” Lopalito accused the person who is spreading negative stories of taking advantage of the pandemic where people are locked up and dying to have fame and more followers.
Lopalito said that all of the negative stories and allegations of abuse are lies that disrespect her family. She then asked her fans who have trusted her for years to not allow the negativity because the world needs more “love, hope, values, unity, and solidarity.”
Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato met in 2009 on the set of his music video for I Just Haven’t Met You Yet . They’ve been married for nine years and share three children: Noah, Elias, and Vida.
Noah was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer in 2016, but after chemotherapy and radiation treatment he was declared cancer-free one year later. During an appearance on Carpool Karaoke in 2018, Bublé told James Corden that he leaned on Lopilato during the difficult time.
“We got the diagnosis and that was it, man, my whole life ended,” said Bublé. “When this all started, I became the strength to somehow pull us and lift us and to be positive. When they got [the cancer] out and the chemo was done and they said, ‘We did it, it’s good, he’s OK,’ I fell, I just fell. My wife picks me up now.”
