The reality TV star is claiming she was sexually assaulted by a masseuse The Bachelorette’s production hired! As you may remember, Meredith Phillips was only the second ever star of The Bachelor spin-off, her season airing back in 2004.
Now, she opened up about the alleged incident during a podcast interview with blogger Reality Steve.
According to her, she was drugged by the woman and sexually assaulted.
The masseuse was brought in by a producer after Phillips told the staff she was really fatigued.
‘She was hired to give me a massage and she said, ‘I am going to give you a pill.’ I just assumed it was an aspirin or something else to loosen up my back or a Tylenol or something, and it was not that, that’s for sure,’ she started.
‘The last thing that I remember is that she got naked and she was in the tub with me rubbing my back and rubbing areas that probably she should not have. Then I was put in bed. I woke up naked. Don’t remember much. I was not even drinking,’ Phillips went on.
According to the former Bachelorette star, it all took place in the L.A. ‘Bachelor Mansion’ where they shoot the show.
‘This is hard for me to talk about. I think I have put it somewhere else in my brain so when you bring this up, it is definitely right there in the forefront as we are speaking.’
Phillips told the interviewer that she really considered leaving the show but decided against reporting the incident because she didn’t want to ruin the franchise’s future.
‘I didn’t speak of it until later because I felt weird about it and felt violated, so I did not know what to say or how to say it. I mean, how do you bring that up? I have held it in for a long time, because in a weird way, I wanted to protect the franchise…’
