Where is First Lady Melania Trump? The internet and the media have been trying to answer that question for almost a month since she dropped out of sight right after announcing her Be Best campaign to protect children from bullying. Is it possible her absence is because she has reached a “breaking point” after the backlash from the Stormy Daniels scandal?
The FLOTUS has gone 24 days without a public appearance, and some insiders are claiming it is because she is quietly planning a move back to Trump Tower in New York City. But, if she wanted to really make a big change – and to do it quietly – falling off the face of the Earth isn’t the best way to go about it.
“Everyone is whispering that Melania got tired of the constant attention, the crazy expectations, and the nonstop humiliation,” an insider explained. “This is not what she signed up for.”

According to In Touch Weekly, another source says that Mrs. Trump is making a change to preserve her sanity. Being First Lady has proven to be too much, and she needed to walk away after reaching the end of her rope. The popular rumor right now is that Melania is done with Washington D.C., and she is planning a permanent move back to her NYC penthouse.
But, her communications director Stephanie Grisham says that the FLOTUS is not planning to move, and she has always been a strong, independent woman who puts her family and health above everything else. And, she is not going to change that because of a “rabid press corps.” Grisham added that Melania is confident in her role as First Lady, and everything else is “speculation and nonsense.”
The First Lady did make a private appearance on June 4th at an event honoring fallen soldiers, but she skipped a recent trip to Camp David and will not be at the upcoming G7 summit in Quebec or the Singapore Summit with North Korea.
With her public absence growing longer, the conspiracy theories are starting to circulate on social media, with no evidence, of course. But, it has given birth to the hashtag #whereismelania.
And, after reporters started asking about her whereabouts, an odd tweet appeared on her Twitter account that sounded like something President Trump would write. It included his favorite phrase “working overtime” in reference to her efforts on the Be Best campaign.

Whether she wanted it or not, this kind of attention comes with the territory of being First Lady, and people are going to continue to ask what’s going on until she makes an appearance. She is, after all, a public figure, and her disappearance is worthy of notice.
Meanwhile, the pro-Trump media is defending Melania Trump’s privacy. Fox News Channel’s Greg Gutfeld recently mocked CNN’s Brian Stelter and called him “the nation’s hall monitor” after he devoted an entire segment of his show “Reliable Sources” to the First Lady’s absence.
