The funeral of Barbara Bush was packed as politicians, aides, former and current Congressman, as well as family and friends filled up the seats. However, the Twittersphere noticed a particular seating arrangement, one that might’ve been awkward.
Melania Trump and Barack Obama were both there for the ceremony and photos show the First Lady of the United States sitting next to Obama.
As it was previously reported, the former first lady, Barbara, died at the age of 92-years-old on Tuesday. Reportedly, Melania attended Bush’s funeral on behalf of her husband who obviously couldn’t make it due to his presidential duties.
Additionally, other politicians and former candidates for the presidency were there including Jeb Bush and George Bush, senior and junior. According to reports, Trump didn’t want to go because the event would need increased security, and it already was packed with personnel.
As you may know, the presidency and campaign of Donald Trump has been incredibly contentious and turbulent, and awkward feelings, undoubtedly, were shared at the ceremony.
What an image given the tweets statements, and speeches in the past 445 days. Wonder what President Obama just said to Mrs. Trump…. pic.twitter.com/lnI0GGpX7n

Trump and Obama have sparred verbally and the president frequently attacked the Bush family and accused them of all kinds of crimes and political mistakes, disastrous ones at that.
However, as the president noted, politics is an incredibly dirty game, and there was mud slung on both sides. Donald Trump tweeted in the morning that his thoughts and prayers were with the Bush family.
Many photographers were at the event and captured snapshots of former presidents and politicians at the funeral service, including George Bush Junior pushing his father, George Bush Senior, in a wheelchair.
