Megyn Kelly celebrated her 48th birthday last week as she continues to deal with her embarrassing exit from NBC. The former Today host spent some time with friends in New York before heading to a Broadway show on Saturday with her husband, Douglas Brunt.
Although Kelly was nothing but smiles throughout the birthday festivities, her lawyers are still working hard behind the scenes to negotiate a multi-million dollar exit deal with NBC brass.
Please somebody pay me $30 million to shut up and go away. I'll do it. I'm not proud. https://t.co/fIlOpXvK6M

On Thursday, Kelly and her bestie, Janice Dean, were spotted eating lunch at a New York restaurant. Dean later shared photos from the lunch outing on social media, including a shot of her and Kelly posing in the show. Kelly followed that up by visiting a winery on Friday.
Kelly and several of her best friends visited the Wolffer Estate Vinnyard in New York and reportedly had a blast. The ladies spent the night at a local hotel afterwards.
According to Radar Online, Kelly capped off the birthday celebrations by attending the Broadway show, Network, with her hubby. The play is ironically about a TV anchor who is struggling to keep his job in the face of poor ratings.
Kelly faced a similar situation on the Today show and ultimately lost her job after making racist comments on air. Kelly and NBC are still in negotiations about her contract, which was originally in the ballpark of $69 million.

Inside sources claim that Kelly is holding out for a major payout and refuses to commit to a non-disclosure agreement with the network.
Kelly has not commented on her on-going negotiations with NBC. Her old segment on Today has seen a slight boost in ratings since her departure. In the weeks following Kelly’s exit, the Today show has attracted ten percent more viewers, which does not bode well for Megyn Kelly’s future career.
