Meghan Markle's First Public Appearance With Prince Harry Is Reportedly On The Way
Operation Princess looks to be officially underway. Reports are surfacing that Kensington Palace is prepping Meghan Markle for her first official appearance with Prince Harry and an official engagement announcement is not far behind.
The delay may be because Harry didn’t want an announcement so close to the 20th anniversary of his mother’s death and all the memorials that were taking place to mark the occasion. Even though the engagement is not yet official, the pair are still planning on appearing together soon.
Markle and Prince Harry will be attending the Invictus games in Toronton on September 23, 2018.
This appearance will come just a few short weeks after Markle spoke about their relationship for the first time. Neither of the two had made any public statements until her Vanity Fair article came out earlier this month . The couple have been together for over a year.
The palace is prepping for an official appearance, but that’s not the only item on the “Operation Princess” agenda. Meghan Markle will now be represented by the legal firm Harbottle and Lewis, who also represents Charles, William, and Harry.
The palace has requested Markle's commitment to her TV show Suits be scaled back . Ever since she started dating Harry, she has ended her blog The Tig , and almost all but vanished from social media.
Markle has already met Harry’s father, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla. According to an insider, the meeting went well. But, the Prince and Duchess did not pressure Harry into anything. They do want to be happy and settle down, but they want the decision to be his.
Apparently Harry was nervous to introduce Meghan to them because he did not want anyone to jump to conclusions about someone he truly cared for.
It appears Harry has made his choice. And, his aides are reportedly putting together an official engagement announcement that will be released any day.
Rumor has it that the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be getting married on April 20, 2019. An exact location is yet to be determined because William and Kate’s wedding venue – Westminster Abbey – is out of the running because Markle is divorced and Catholic.
