The new royal’s father is determined to meet his daughter face to face even if he has to fly to the U.K. and ‘knock’ at the palace doors. That being said, reports are claiming that the Duchess is anxious and simply mortified that he will embarrass her.
Thomas Markle should maybe take it easy for a while and stay away from the media if he wants to fix his father-daughter relationship with Meghan Markle.
However, his plan is pretty much the opposite – fly to the U.K. to hopefully meet her, and that seems like might damage their relationship even more.
One insider told HollywoodLife exclusively that ‘If Meghan’s dad follows through with his threats to show up in London to try and force a meeting with her, it will no doubt turn into a massive media spectacle. Meghan’s trying so hard to fit into the Royal family, the last thing she needs is for her dad to create that kind of scene. She’s terrified of any more embarrassment and very anxious about what he’ll do or say next.’
However, the source close to the palace also dished that ‘Meghan doesn’t believe her dad will actually follow through with his plan to come to the UK unannounced, though. She’s sure he was manipulated into saying it for shock value. That’s one of the most horrifying things about these setup interviews her dad is doing. Meghan can clearly see how people are using and manipulating her dad. It makes her so sad.’
The dad’s announcement that he is planning on ‘ambushing’ his daughter in her adoptive country was done during an interview with The Sun.
Thomas made it sound like he would not go on purpose to the U.K., but if in a month or two he so happens to be there, he wants to see Meghan.
