Meghan Markle: "People Wanted To Kill Me!”
With the great attention that Meghan Markle has been getting lately due to her relationship with Prince Harry, comes some dangers as well. The Suits actress has gone through some terrifying moments after her relationship has become publicly known.
Megan admitted, during an interview with Piers Morgan that she went through some scary situations with her fans who were aware of Rachel, her character in Suits.
"People wanted to kill me! Not Rachel… ME. I never knew there were so many emojis with guns and knives. It was very unpleasant. Fortunately, Rachel got back on her pedestal and it stopped," she told the Daily Mail.
When later on, Markle started being bullied online, Prince Harry did not hesitate to defend his actress girlfriend.
"The past week has seen a line crossed. [Harry's] girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment," the Kensington Palace said in a statement. "Some of this has been very public — the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments."
"It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him and Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm," the statement continued. "He knows commentators will say this is 'the price she has to pay' and 'this is all part of the game.' He strong disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his."
Rumors of the two dating began when they were spotted on a jet just last week, going to Canada for a secret meet-up.
The actress has received hate not only from her fans and Harry’s but also from her very own sister who said that the two would never last. "The royal family would be appalled by what she's done to her own family. The truth would kill her relationship with Prince Harry. He wouldn't want to date her anymore because it puts her in a bad public light. I certainly don't think Harry or his family would want to associate with her afterwards."
