The L.A. County D.A.’s Office is reportedly reviewing the assault charges against Tory Lanez in Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting case. The LAPD is investigating the incident and considering a charge of felony assault.
Tory Lanez has been charged with possession of a firearm right after the incident. Detectives suspected that the gun was used to shoot Megan Thee. Just a few weeks ago, Megan spoke about the shooting but didn’t name anyone.
After the shooting, Megan was in the car with Tory and they got pulled over by Police officers, arresting Tory for possession of a firearm. Sources informed TMZ that there were “mitigating circumstances,” and if Tory was going to be charged for the shooting, he would say it was an accident.
But according to Megan’s statement this week on Instagram, she couldn’t tell who the shooter was since she had her back to the SUV when she got shot in the heel. The rapper didn’t say that in the beginning, so this may be why the D.A. couldn’t charge anyone for this incident.
“I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK,” she said in an Instagram post. She was annoyed that people on social media wanted to hear and see the bad news before the good ones.
Megan Thee also added that she had no reason to lie about getting shot, asking the haters “why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in bed sad? Why y’all upset that I can walk? I got stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to celebrate WAP going number1… I usually don’t address internet bulls**t but y’all people are so sick!”
She then thanked God for watching over her and was happy she was healing well, sending those haters a final message: “Sorry I’m not a** sad and miserable as a lot of y’all lol but ima keep being Megan Thee Mf STALLION.”
