According to reports, the West Hollywood City Council has voted to eliminate Donald Trump’s star from the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, not long after a man in his early twenties smashed it with a pickax. And the Star Wars actor, Mark Hamill, is suggesting that maybe Carrie Fisher should replace him.
As fans of the Star Wars alum know, Hamill is really not too fond of the president and took to Twitter shortly after the news spread that the council wanted to remove the president’s star.
Mark wrote on Twitter, “how about replacing it with someone who really earned it @carriefisher?” As you may know, both Harrison Ford and Hamill have stars on the Walk of Fame.
Mark received his recognition earlier this year, while Harrison Ford received his in 2003. However, as unfortunate for Fisher fans as it may be, it’s not likely Carrie will be honoured. In fact, she definitely won’t, at least until 2021.
The Los Angeles Daily News reported that her death in 2016 means she won’t be included in the Walk Of Fame. There’s a five-year waiting period between a star’s death and when they can get a star on the walk.
However, the outlet did say she would be up for recognition in 2021: three years from now, and five years since her death in 2016.

As you may know, Donald was given the star in 2007 for his history of work in the entertainment industry, including, perhaps most famously, his time as the host of The Apprentice which aired on NBC.
However, due to the sheer volume of vandalism the star has endured as of late, the Council of West Hollywood is no longer willing to put up with it. The Mayor, John Duran, took to Twitter to say that the council had all agreed upon the elimination of the star.
