Maria Menounos Says Bullying And Toxic Environment May Have Played A Role In Brain Tumour

Maria Menounos believes stress due to working in the entertainment industry could’ve affected her physical and mental health. The TV host said that “chronic stress” is probably terrible for a person’s health.
When speaking with reporters from Access Hollywood, Natalie Morales, and Kit Hoover, on the 14th of December, Maria opened up about her condition as well as what it’s like to work in a stressful environment.
She explained that in the industry there is a lot of workplace politics, or so-called, “bullying,” and at times, it’s possible for this harassment to lead to health problems in the future.
And while typically, some might criticize Maria for her overly sensitive attitude, in the sense that she believes “bullying” causes brain tumors, the TV host may have a point.
Studies have shown the stress hormone, Cortisol is terrible for the human body as well as the psyche. Continual low-level stress creates many types of problems over time.
However, Maria is quick to point out the entertainment industry was an excellent field to work in, and she feels “incredibly blessed” to be a part of it.
But, there has been “tough times,” as she recalled, and Menounos said she’s sure people out there know what she’s talking about.
The 39-year-old, who doctors recently diagnosed with a brain tumor, said women “put (them)selves last,” and Maria intentionally put off her MRI for several months because she thought she was crazy.
Several publications reported earlier that Menounos went under the knife for the removal of a meningioma brain tumor which was around an inch-and-a-half in diameter. As a result of her diagnosis, the television personality is now taking her health seriously and wants to give herself “time to breath.”
