Mama June Gets Candid About The ‘Emotional And Physical Toll’ Her Weight Loss Process Has Taken On Her

Although Mama June’s weight loss journey looked difficult enough from the outside, now, the reality TV star got candid about it, revealing that it was even more so than we thought! Here’s what she had to say!
The ones tuning in to Mama June: From Not to Hot were able to witness the star going from a size 18 to only a size 4 in a bit more than a year!
Now that a new season of the show is set to start tomorrow, her family was reminded that such a change doesn’t just happen.
Mama June’s youngest daughter, Honey Boo Boo, told E! News that: ‘I think that mama thought being skinny would solve all of her problems because she’d be able to do a lot more because she is smaller. She will be able to fit into a lot more because she is smaller. She would not get so much hate because she is smaller.’
However, Mama June says that ‘It’s honestly been the opposite. I’ve had so many surgeries in the last six months that I have had to lay down. I have not been able to go to the gym. And yes, I do eat my junk food and yes I do eat my comfort food but am I wrong for that? Yes. Am I sorry? No, because I am actually fighting for my vision and that is No. 1 right now.’
Mama June says she’s always between 185 and 190 pounds which makes her happy enough.
But she made it very clear that she never wants to weigh more than 200 pounds again.
‘Gaining 25 pounds to me is nothing. I want to lose 15 pounds. I know I never want to go to 450 pounds, but honestly, at 165, I felt like I was too skinny. I felt like I was losing weight too fast. I am happy with where I’m at because this has been an emotional and physical toll on my body and it is not an easy road to go through. I promise you,’ Mama June explained.
