According to new insider reports, the handlers of Honey Boo Boo have made sure to block her mother, Mama June Shannon’s access to the child’s bank account amid her problems with the law. As you may know, the woman was arrested for drug possession.

One source tells TMZ that a rep for Alana had a lawyer follow the proper steps to protect the young teen’s money.

That being said, her earnings were moved in a separate bank account that Mama June cannot access.

The decision comes after the woman’s concerning gambling trips alongside problematic boyfriend Eugene Doak, aka, Geno.

Not only that, but there was also a crack cocaine arrest not too long ago so it makes sense that restricting her from using her daughter’s money was considered very important to do.

And because Honey Boo Boo is still underage, her sister, Lauryn, aka Pumpkin, 19, is reported to manage her younger sibling’s account but is only allowed to use the money in Alana’s interest.

Pumpkin, who is Alana’s temporary guardian, is required to provide the proper receipts whenever she uses the funds, the source tells TMZ.

Honey Boo Boo is currently living under the same roof with her older sister because of the very unstable situation at her mom’s place.

Shannon and Geno got arrested for possession of crack cocaine as well as drug paraphernalia earlier this year.

The pair also reportedly went to casinos to gamble their money away concerningly often.

It’s a really difficult situation and the girl has been affected by it,

On the season finale of From Not to Hot: Road to Intervention, she heartbreakingly confronted her mother, telling her: ‘Mama, I'd love to come home and to stay with you — tell you about my day, but I cannot do that because I am scared. I am not even going to lie to you. I am scared to stay at your house.’
