Madonna On Her Reported Feud With Lady Gaga – ‘We Were Never Enemies’

After years of reports that they had major beef, Madonna addressed her supposed bad blood with fellow artist Lady Gaga, claiming they were actually ‘never enemies!’ This is what the original Queen of Pop said during an interview for British Vogue.
Madonna also graces the cover of the magazine’s June issue!
As for the rumors, it’s believed that they started feuding back in 2011 after Lady Gaga released her Born This Way single.
The hit song was heavily compared to Madonna’s 1989 hit Express Yourself.
The singers have gotten asked about their supposed issues a lot over the years.
That being said, Madonna has made it a point to brush off the speculations, slamming the usual tendencies to always pit famous women against one another.
Now, she tells British Vogue that ‘People got very excited about [the thought of Lady Gaga and myself as enemies, when we never were enemies.’
Back in February, they managed to shut up the beef rumors by hanging out after the Oscars.
Lady Gaga had even mentioned before that she’s actually a big fan of Madonna.
The legend explained that ‘There are no living role models for me. Because nobody does what I do. And that’s kind of scary. I can look back at women who I think were great and amazing—freedom fighters, like Simone de Beauvoir or Angela Davis—but they didn’t have kids. Being a single parent of six children, I continue to be creative and be an artist and be politically active, to have a voice, to do all the things that I do.’
So as far as she’s concerned, Madonna cannot be compared since there is nobody else like her.
The artist who started her huge career back in the early 1980s, released a new song, I Rise, just yesterday!
Her 14th studio album, Madame X, is set to be released on June 14!
