Someone mysteriously released court documents in the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorce and custody proceedings this week, and they reveal that the judge in the case has granted Pitt physical custody of the couple’s kids this summer – except for Maddox Jolie-Pitt. Because he is 16, Maddox’s “age and maturity” allow him to make decisions about spending time with his dad.
OK! Magazine is reporting that it is up to Maddox how much time he will spend with each parent. But his five younger siblings – Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, Knox, 9, and Vivienne, 9 – will have to follow the court’s strict visitation guidelines.

While Jolie is in England this summer filming the sequel to Maleficent, at least one of the younger five kids must spend four hours a day with Pitt between June 8th and July 17th. Then, each day from June 27th to July 1st, Pitt will spend ten hours with at least one of his kids. The court also granted Pitt custody of the five younger kids for a four-day period between July 8th and July 14th.
On July 21st, the kids will fly to Los Angeles and stay with their dad for a week, then return back to the UK on the 29th to be with their mom. They will then fly back to LA on August 11th to be with Pitt, and a review hearing will take a couple of days later.
Despite being in the middle of a tough custody battle, insiders say that Jolie is “in a good place” while focusing on her career and staying involved with her UN humanitarian work.
“The children are proud of their mom. She teaches them to focus on others not on their own troubles,” reveals the source.
Back in January, Zahara and Shiloh joined their Oscar-winning mom for a UNHCR trip to Jordan to visit the Zataari refugee camp. There, they took the opportunity to meet with Syrians who fled the violence in their country because of a civil war.

They also met with girls near Shiloh and Zahara’s ages who were involved in the TIGER (These Inspiring Girls Enjoy Reading) Project, which focuses on empowerment and education during displacement. An insider says that Shiloh is still pen pals with a friend she met during her visit to the refugee camp.
As for Brad Pitt, he is “doing great,” and working hard on Quentin Tarantino’s new project Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. The film also stars Leonardo DiCaprio and is about the 1969 Charles Manson murders.
Maddox Jolie-Pitt has not commented on his parent’s custody battle, but he has offered public praise for Jolie.
