The 26-year-old rapper, Mac Miller, who died today due to an alleged drug overdose, talked about his struggles with drug addiction in the past. He even claimed that being a “corny white rapper” was better than being a drug addict.
Miller, known by his fans for being a great lyricist, struggled with drug abuse for a long time. It was one of the primary reasons for his breakup with the pop-star, Ariana Grande.
During a conversation with one of her fans, Ms. Ariana Grande, who’s now engaged to the Saturday Night Live alum, Pete Davidson, suggested that Mac was going overboard with the partying lifestyle that eventually got him into trouble when he plowed into a utility pole and fled from the scene.
In May, the police charged Mac with two counts of driving under the influence. Previously, Ariana wrote on her Twitter page, “please take care of yourself.”
The result of this tweet was a cascade of speculation among their fans who assumed that he really was battling with a drug problem.

During the documentary which you can check out above, the rapper said that there was no “legendary romance,” because once you’re dead, you’re dead, and that’s it. “You don’t go down in history just because you overdose.”
In August of this year, Miller released his fifth record, Swimming. Just before he died, he was supposed to commence his American tour on the 27th of October, in San Francisco.
As fans of the rap game know, Mac isn’t the only one to pass away this year. XXXTentacion was shot and killed in Florida outside of a motorcycle store following an attempted robbery.
Other stars to fight with prescription drugs include Lil’ Xan, who has considered changing his moniker to avoid glorifying his fight with the medication, Xanax.
