Lupita Nyong'O Getting Ready To Star In Yet Another Action Film
Lupita Nyong'O is getting ready for the release of her new movie, Black Panther, and while fans are excited to see their favorite actress take out criminals, it looks like she'll be taking her newly acquired action-hero-skills elsewhere, as she allegedly just landed a role on Charlie's Angels reboot.
In a report from Deadline, the actress - who recently won an Oscar - is in talks to co-star in the film alongside the star of Twilight, Kristen Stewart. The movie will be directed by Elizabeth Banks who famously starred alongside Seth Rogen in Zach And Miri Make A Porno.
Fans of action movies will remember Charlie's Angels with Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu which came out in the year 2000. The film had many cameos as well including legendary Hollywood actress, Demi Moore, who served as the movie's primary villain.
The movie at the time was a smash hit but received mixed critical views and was followed up by a sequel titled, Charlies Angels: Full Throttle, which came out in 2003.
The movie starring Barrymore is a feature-length-film version of the original 1976 TV series which lasted until 1981. The production starred Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Jaclyn Smith and has since acquired a legendary status.
The reboot is said to hit theaters on the 7th of June, 2019. As for Lupita’s upcoming Black Panther movie, the American superhero adventure based on the Marvel character of the same name will be created by Marvel Studios and released by the Walt Disney Studios. The movie is directed by Ryan Coogler and will star Chadwick Boseman, Michael B Jordan, Martin Freeman, and Academy Award winner, Forest Whitaker, who starred in Panic Room along with Jodie Foster.
