Love Island star Mike Thalassitis was found dead at age 26. The British reality TV show contestant’s death was confirmed by BBC, who received word from Thalassitis’ management team.
The Daily Mail is reporting the former dating show cast member was discovered Friday in the woods near his hometown of Essex. His cause of death has not yet been revealed, and police have not released any information to the public regarding Thalassitis’s unexpected passing.
Some reports have surfaced that the ex-footballer was having a difficult time dealing with the death of his grandmother, who passed away a few months ago. He was also struggling to come to terms with the death of one of his best friends, Danny Cutts, who suddenly died in December.
Thalassitis rose to fame competing on season three of the British reality TV show. The show is very similar to Bachelor In Paradise where singles come to the island to find love, romance and enjoy some steamy hook-ups. He also appeared on the reality TV show Celebs Go Dating.
