Liv Tyler Joins Hulu Series ‘Harlots’ As Series Regular For Season 2

Hulu’s British period drama Harlots is getting an American addition as the show prepares to begin filming its upcoming second season. Former model and actress Liv Tyler is set to join the series in Season 2 as a new regular cast member.
Tyler will not be playing an American, however; she’ll be putting on her best British accent as Lady Isabella Fitzwilliam, a renowned member of the English aristocracy.
Fitzwilliam is described as a “social butterfly whose long-held secrets keep her in the thrall — and under the blackmailing thumb — of Lydia Quigley.”
Acclaimed actress Lesley Manville plays Quigley on the series, one of the two cunning women who run rival brothels in 18th century London.
Actress Samantha Morton plays Margaret Wells, a former prostitute of Quigley’s who now runs the lower class brothel that competes against her.
Tyler’s new character, Lady Fitzwilliam, is trapped in a loveless marriage and finds herself making friends with Wells’ daughter, Charlotte.
Former Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay plays Charlotte on Harlots, reuniting her with that show’s former network, ITV.
Harlots is a co-production between Hulu and Britain’s ITV, airing in the UK on the company’s ITV Encore channel and available exclusively in the US on Hulu’s streaming platform.
Tyler, the daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and model Bebe Buell, starting modeling as a teenager before segueing into acting in the late 1990s.
She took her first regular television role in 2014 on the HBO series The Leftovers, which ended its three-season run earlier this year.
Up next for Tyler is another British production, the BBC mini-series Gunpowder, starring Game of Thrones heartthrob Kit Harington. The three-part series is set to debut on October 21 in the UK, though no release date has yet been announced for the US.
Likewise, no date has yet been specified as to when the second season of Harlots will debut either stateside or across the pond.
