A report surfaced earlier this week claiming that Lisa Vanderpump had left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after eight seasons, but the reality star has assured fans it isn’t true. According to TMZ, Vanderpump insisted that if there were any news about her role on the show, she would be the one to share it.
Insiders told the tabloid that reality shows were no longer the center of Vanderpump’s life like they used to be, but that didn’t mean she was leaving. The sources added that the restaurateur has honestly not made a decision about future seasons, but she has finished filming Season 9.

So why didn’t she go to France with the rest of the cast? Insiders say that Vanderpump’s top priority is this week’s Vanderpump Foundation Gala where the portion of the proceeds will go to animals affected by the California wildfires. In fact, Vanderpump reportedly finds it “absurd” that anyone is focusing on the upcoming season of RHOBH while half the state is on fire.
As for why Vanderpump has a limited role in the new season, she has been emotionally upset over the death of her brother, who passed away from a suspected overdose just days before filming started.
“It’s been a devastating couple of weeks… one day at a time… I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your love and support,” Vanderpump wrote on Instagram back in May. “Love Lisa xo.”
Sources told People Magazine that Vanderpump will likely continue to film more seasons, but right now she wants to focus on important things.
Still, it’s pretty clear that Vanderpump has not been getting along with the rest of the cast lately. Rumors have swirled for months that a dog that Dorit Kemsley adopted from the Vanderpump Dog Foundation bit her daughter, so she gave it to a different family who ended up taking the dog to a shelter. This apparently caused a conflict between Vanderpump and Kemsley.

Insiders say that Vanderpump caught Kemsley completely off guard when she brought up the dog because Kemsley had no idea that the other family had gotten rid of it. The situation has reportedly “devastated” Kimsley, but Vanderpump did acknowledge that she thought Kemsley had good intentions.
Back in September, Lisa Rinna posted on Instagram about one of her co-stars not showing up for a photo shoot, and later Erika Girardi confirmed that the mystery no-show was Vanderpump.
Then in October, Lisa Vanderpump missed Camille Grammer’s wedding in Hawaii, but sources claim she missed out on the nuptials because it wasn’t a good time for her. At the moment she doesn’t want to hang around with the rest of the group, so she is getting less filming time.
Season 9 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will premiere on Bravo in 2019.
