Lisa Rinna Says She ‘Probably’ Has An Eating Disorder As Well After Her Daughter Was Diagnosed With Anorexia
During the third part of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' reunion, Lisa Rinna got candid about her eating struggles while chatting with Andy Cohen. She also admitted that it is, indeed, possible that her own problems with food also affected her 18 year old daughter, Amelia, since she is dealing with something similar as well.
As fans know, Amelia has been battling anorexia and some have been wondering whether or not the mom has her own issues that transferred to the teen.
‘Probably, yeah,’ Rinna replied after the host asked her if she thinks her daughter learned from her unhealthy eating habits.
‘Do I have food issues? I probably do ’cause I am in this business,’ she said, adding that she works out a lot – between 3 to 5 times per week.
Lisa explained that ‘I’m just consistent. But I have been the same weight ever since I was 20. But I am not bulimic, I do not believe I am anorexic. I mean, we have talked about it. I have gone to therapy. I cannot blame myself, but again, I blame myself [for her daughter’s anorexia].’
The first time Amelia opened up about her eating disorder was back in March of last year.
She took to her IG page to share a bathing suit snap and in the caption, she emotionally told the world all about her battle with anorexia.
The girl explained that, after starving herself for a very long time, she’d developed many health complications.
She acknowledged that getting better would be a journey that would take her most of her life.
The mother said on the reunion that the eating disorder has probably been going on for a lot longer than they realize but once it starts showing, physically, ‘it’s undeniable.’
