On the one-year anniversary of Chester Bennington’s death, his former bandmates from Linkin Park commemorated his tragic passing. As fans of the band know, Chester committed suicide when he was just 41-years-old on the 20th of July, 2017.
It was a tragic death that shocked the entire music world. Coincidentally, his friend, Chris Cornell – from the 90’s grunge band, Soundgarden – died by suicide as well just a few months before, and Chester sang for him at his funeral.

Other members in the band include Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Rob Bourdon. They captioned their long message of a photo of Chester while in the middle of a performance, pushing his head down close to his fans.
Linkin Park has been promoting a new organization called Campaign to Chance Direction’s 320 Changes Direction initiative.
The enterprise is a philanthropic one, designed to help those who are suffering from mental illness, as well as family members and concerned friends who want to know how they can help.

During an interview with Fox 11 in Los Angeles, his widow said that she didn’t understand his shame. Their therapist told her Chester was clinically depressed.

Talinda claimed the entire experience for her was as tragic as it was shocking, and his career was at a high point. According to Bennington, he just had a number one album and was very close to his family.
“We had a great relationship. He was my best friend,” the former Playboy model remarked. As for those who are still suffering, Talinda wants them to know they’re not alone. Chester struggled with depression and substance abuse his entire life, and rumor has it that he suffered from abuse as a child.
