Lindsay Shookus Will Always Care About Ben Affleck Amid His Recovery But Is More Focused On Work
Lindsay Shookus is far more focused on her career right now rather than Ben Affleck. Shookus, 38, who is a producer for Saturday Night Live , went to the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, where she secured her third Emmy, in total, for the outstanding variety and sketch series category.
It was the first time the public got to see Lindsay since her publicized split from Ben Affleck after he had to go into rehab for alcohol addiction. Coincidentally, Ben and Lindsay went together to the Emmys in 2017.
Following their breakup, a source explained that "Lindsay is working really hard at her career these days, like usual, and while she cares a lot about Ben and his well-being, at the end of the day, she has to do what's best for her."
The insider added, "Lindsay was always concerned for Ben's life, but she needs him to take care of himself." As it was previously reported, photographers caught the actor hanging out with a 22-year-old Playboy model, Shauna Sexton, while they went out for fast food.
Due to the onslaught of social media trolls, Lindsay had to delete her Instagram account to get away from it all. Her experiences with busybodies online is not unlike Ariana Grande, who had to deactivate her Instagram comments after Mac Miller's death.
Previously, a source who spoke with People Magazine on the 22nd of August claimed that Ben's drinking played a role in their relationship's demise.
Many people assumed we wouldn't get to see Ben for a long time due to his treatment. However, ever since Ben entered a facility last month, paparazzi have spotted him working out with a basketball trainer and also getting a haircut. An insider explained, "he's doing what he has to to get better."
As for what Jennifer thinks of the situation, she cares for Ben, but mostly for their children, and she knows that her kids need their dad. In fact, if you recall, Jen and Ben's coach are the ones who staged the intervention.
