Lil Uzi Vert Lets Lil' Xan Down Easily - 'I Mumble Alone'
2020 has been a busy time for Lil' Uzi Vert . Earlier this year, in March, Lil' Uzi Vert released Eternal Atake not long before he dropped Lil' Uzi Vert Vs. The World Pt. 2 - (this record was advertised as the deluxe version of the same project).
Additionally, Vert teamed up with Future, the Atlanta rapper, and they worked on the Pluto x Baby Pluto album. Even though Vert has continued to drop new works and projects, a lot of his fans are begging him to go back to the way he sounded in 2016.
Furthermore, Vert has discussed potentially going back to his old style which a lot of fans grew to love. On his Twitter account, the rapper insinuated that maybe it was time for him to return to "mumble rap" like he used to do in 2016.
Lil' Xan, who has been viciously criticized in the rap community for talking badly about Tupac Shakur , said he was down to join Vert in his mumble rap renaissance, and Vert responded with, "I mumble alone," along with the heartbreak emoji.
Even though it was just a nice way of letting Lil' Xan down, a lot of social media users began suggesting that it was a hard diss against Xan. Consequently, the brief Twitter exchange was eliminated from Twitter but a lot of people had already screenshotted it.
Either way, based on what we have seen here, it's not likely that we'll see a collaboration between Lil' Xan and Lil' Uzi Vert, anytime in the future. As it was just noted, Lil' Xan hasn't been a fan favorite in the hip-hop scene for a couple of years now.
And it's not unreasonable to assume that Vert didn't want to associate with someone who hasn't been among the most respected lately.
Lil' Xan famously said that Tupac was "boring," at the height of his rise in the industry. Hip-hop fans know that to disrespect Tupac in the rap world is to cast serious aspersions and doubt as to whether you belong in the community, to begin with.
