Liam Payne Faces Major Backlash Over New Song Both Ways
Liam Payne is facing major backlash on social media thanks to his new song, 'Both Ways.'
#LiamPayneIsOverParty started trending on Twitter after fans became outraged over the lyrics to Payne's latest jam. The reason fans are upset with the singer is because his message reveals his girlfriend might be bisexual.
One part of the song features a lyric that says, "My girl, she like it both ways. She like the way it all taste. Couple more, we'll call it foreplay."
The words have angered many of Payne's fans but especially those in the LGBTQ+ community. People are upset at Payne because they insist his words are "fetishizing people's sexual identity," and that is simply not okay.
"#liampayneisoverparty we knew this one was coming for YEARS. knew it right after he backlashed Harry for dressing the way he does and being who he wants. the lgbqt+ community is NOT for your fetish. to see young women, men, or ANYONE being sexualized like that is disgusting" tweeted @adoregeorgia
"The fact that Liam himself, his dumb management and producers, thought this trash song fetishizing bisexual women and was okay to release is gross y'all stan this?" wrote @Imaginedbeer
"Stop sexualizing bi people!! We aren't your toys, honey," shared @BeaXtra
"let's all raise a glass to those of us who never listened to Liam Payne, and never even came close to thinking about doing it," remarked @kaspbrac
"I always knew there was something off about him, but I couldn't figure out what it was, but y'all have enlightened me. Using people's sexuality for your sick desires is disgusting as if the LGBTQ community isn't fetishized enough," tweeted @sacredcosmo
YouTuber and Amazing Race star, Tyler Oakley cryptically weighed in on the matter.
"I warned y'all years ago! Lmao #LiamPayneIsOverParty," Oakley said via Twitter.
Fans are furious at Liam Payne for his new song 'Both Ways.' The singer has not commented on all the backlash. He is instead, focused on the release of his album, which is the only thing he has talked about on social media.
"Blown away by this reaction already! Thanks to everyone that's picked up the album so far, your support doesn't go unnoticed," Payne shared.
Social media is in an uproar over the lyrics in Payne's new song. Do you agree or disagree with all over the outrage over his tune, 'Both Ways'?
