Lyrica Anderson and A1 Bentley hands down had one of the most tumultuous relationships during the latest season of “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.” The separation between the two came to an end when the singer found out that she was pregnant with her first child.
After a paternity test that confirmed that it was A1’s baby and not co-star Safaree Samuels’, the two went back to their wedded bliss and started preparing for the arrival of their baby boy.
When followers were given the first announcement that Ocean Bentley had made his entrance in the world, they were told to head over to the baby’s Instagram to see him. Lyrica added the stipulation that she would show his face when the account reaches 100k followers — a goal that they are just 400 follows short of reaching.
In the meantime, Anderson opened up to VH1 about the health scare she had after giving birth.
“Well, first of all it was a tough pregnancy. Not the symptoms, well the symptoms a little bit but it was just a lot of emotional things going on and I just kept worrying that I didn’t want to have an accidental or early birth or go into labor from stress or anything like that.”
She continued to explain: “After the birth was when it got a little traumatic. I ran a super high fever out of nowhere. I started going into some sort of convulsions. I couldn’t stop shaking for 7 hours straight, just shaking, shaking, shaking with a fever. Then, I couldn’t stop itching. They literally had to bring toothbrushes in my room to let me scratch my skin so that I wouldn’t pierce my skin and it was the scariest thing because I was itching and shaking and I literally thought that I was dying. I was so scared, like why was I shaking so much?”
She added that while hospitalized, the staff had to check her vitals in order to make sure she wasn’t having a heart attack! The experience was frightening to both her and A1.
“When I was shaking and itching like that, I can tell it scared him. He walked out of the room for a second and he doesn’t do that. I can tell that he needed a moment.”
Luckily, both the parents and baby are fine now. Will you follow Ocean Zion Bentley?
