The newest icon of positive change is none other than Laverne Cox! The beautiful woman made it on the cover of Cosmopolitan South Africa for the #SayYesToLove issue.
It is safe to say, that this is not only a great opportunity and a dream come true for Laverne but also a beacon of hope for the world.
That because Cox is the very first transgender woman ever to adorn the cover of the prestigious magazine.
During the photoshoot, Laverne slayed a silver bodysuit between the pages while for the cover shot, she wore a black one-shoulder bodysuit.

As expected, Laverne took this opportunity to also send a message and give advice to whoever it may be concerned – basically, being an amazingly inspirational person for many!
‘Trans women deserve to be loved out in the open and in the light. Let go of the fear and live a fun and fearless life. If I can do it, you can do it too,’ the Orange is the New Black star said during her quick interview on Twitter.
When asked to share the most romantic gesture a man has ever done for her, the actress shared that ‘As a black transgender woman, I have often been kept a secret by the men I have dated. So, when my ex-boyfriend introduced me to his father and invited me to spend Hanukkah with him and the rest of the family, it was the most special thing ever.’
Good! That is the type of man she deserves, the type of man every woman deserves!
