Lamar Odom Will Play Basketball Again — Claims Getting Kicked Off The Big 3 League Was Minor Setback
Lamar Odom has already made his big comeback to the public eye. The former NBA baller was looking forward to getting back on the basketball court for the Big 3 league that Ice Cube put together when he was suddenly dropped just before he was scheduled to make his big debut.
However, Odom is determined to dribble again because he claims that the situation was a minor setback. He may be taking his talents across the water.
Lamar explained to TMZ Sports: ‘I’mma play professional basketball again, maybe in the Philippines or something like that. But that’s just another setback. When one thing gets taken from you, another beautiful thing pops up.’
The athlete is also trying his hand at public speaking. As you probably already know, he almost lost his life in 2015 when he was found unconscious at a Las Vegas brothel. Lamar wants to share his story to inspire others.
He opened up to the Miami Herald about his venture with MicDrop, a communications training program company that focuses on the skills of storytelling and public speaking.
‘I feel like God has a plan for me. Part of his plan for me, I think is just public speaking. Just getting my story out there. My story has been told so many different ways. So I just wanted to take that power. At the same time, I think anybody suffering from depression or addiction or suffering from losses in their family could relate to my story. If I can help them by just giving testimony to my story, then why not?’
