Lady Gaga Talks Secrets, Art, And New Netflix Documentary 'Gaga: Five Foot Two'

As CI readers already know , Gaga: Five Foot Two , the intimate, Netflix documentary promises a look at the life of Lady Gaga will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before its Netflix release on September 22, 2017. The iconic singer takes viewers through a year in her life and spoke about the project to People .

She described the film as art produced by her close friends and reveals fans will discover new aspects of the Grammy-award winning singer. Gaga also reveals she has suffered from chronic pain for approximately five years. Fans will follow Lady Gaga through momentous events that took place in 2016 including filming American Horror Story,  working on her CD Joanne, and preparing for the Super Bowl halftime show.

Gaga: Five Foot Two  differs from other documentaries as it is created by her close friends. This allowed Gaga to reveal a more personal side as well as gives fans a unique perspective of the Mother Monster herself.

Lady Gaga stated that the documentary is a true depiction of her life and fans will be able to see exactly what goes on behind the scenes in making Lady Gaga who she is. Gaga described the documentary as more than just a film made to create money, but one that is a work of art.

Since Lady Gaga is friends with the filmmakers she is very supportive of the documentary and stands behind it completely. Chris Moukarbel directs the film.

Gaga also reveals she struggles with emotional pain. While some might expect Lady Gaga to be surrounded by adoring friends, family, and fans 24-hours per day, Gaga shows that isn't the case. In the trailer clip below, you may see Gaga cry as she struggles with loneliness.

Lady Gaga was adamant about portraying her real life struggles with chronic pain and is also well aware that she is a role model for young girls. According to director Chris Moukarbel, it is a position she takes seriously and recognizes the importance of.

Gaga made it clear that she has always been in control of her fashion and refused to let the music industry tell her how to dress.
