It looks like Bradley Cooper got the approval of none other than Lady Gaga for his singing. In the movie directed by the actor, A Star Is Born, Cooper’s character is very impressed by the Gaga’s talent.
Now, however, it turns out that in real life, she was the one pleasantly surprised.
After all, everyone knows what an amazing singer Lady Gaga is but few think music when they think about the Oscar-nominated actor.
As fans know, the remake of the classic 1937 film is Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut, and it has been getting plenty of attention, be it from the press, the public or the professional critics.
The pop star plays the lead role in the production, an unknown singer and songwriter named Ally who struggles to be recognized in her career.
That is until a well-known, and respected musician by the name of Jackson, (Cooper) discovers her.
While in attendance at EW’s Must List party at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival yesterday, Gaga talked to E! News, revealing: ‘What connected us immediately was when we first really met together. We had an instant connection. I could see it in his eyes. And when I heard him sing for the very first time, I stopped dead in my tracks, playing the piano, looked over to him and said, ‘Bradley, you can sing!’ Oh my gosh! It was wonderful.’
Last month, during an interview for EW, the pop star made some similar comments.
In addition, she said at the time: ‘And then we just kept going. Before we knew it, we were already harmonizing. And he even filmed us doing it. We have a video of the first time we sang together.’
She went on to gush about her co-star: ‘My favorite thing about Bradley is his honesty. He’s such an honest and trusting person. We’ve built such a beautiful friendship, and it really helped the project soar.’
